Being part of Molly and Leon’s wedding day was a true joy. From the grandeur of All Saints Church in Faringdon to the relaxed vibes of the Riverview Barn, the day was full of love, laughter, and picture-perfect moments.

A country pub wedding: Documenting the day

I always value the chance to connect with couples before their big day. On 25th April 2025, I joined Molly and Leon for their wedding rehearsal at All Saints Church. This time allowed me to get a feel for the church layout, explore the lighting opportunities, and find the best angles to use on the day. It also gave me a chance to chat with the couple and ease any nerves, so they could feel relaxed in front of the camera.

On the wedding morning, I met Molly before the ceremony and captured some touching moments as she arrived in a beautiful white wedding car, accompanied by her father and bridesmaids. The atmosphere was full of excitement and emotion, and I made sure to document not only the posed portraits but also plenty of candid shots that truly told the story of the morning.

Meanwhile, at All Saints Church, I photographed Leon and his groomsmen as they waited in anticipation. The church’s stunning architecture and natural light provided the perfect backdrop for heartfelt, documentary-style images of the ceremony.

The ceremony went smoothly, with moments of laughter, emotion, and love throughout. I particularly enjoyed capturing the reactions of the guests, the couple’s vows, and the joy on Molly and Leon’s faces as they walked back down the aisle together.

Following the ceremony, we stepped outside for the confetti throw - always a favourite moment for everyone! This was followed by some lovely group photos with family and friends in front of the church’s timeless stonework.

After a short drive, guests gathered at the Riverview Barn, a gorgeous riverside venue perfect for a relaxed, countryside reception. I captured the guests arriving, mingling, and enjoying the rustic charm of the barn and surrounding landscape.

Soon after, I took Molly and Leon for a romantic couples shoot around the venue. One of the highlights was photographing them on the iconic Radcot Bridge, with the River Thames providing a tranquil backdrop. These golden-hour portraits are some of my favourites—timeless, elegant, and full of connection.

Candlelit receptions can sometimes pose a challenge for photographers, but the barn’s soft, golden glow offered an enchanting backdrop for this celebration. By carefully positioning my equipment and adapting to the low-light setting, I preserved the atmosphere while ensuring Sarah and Dan’s images remained vivid and clear.
